Who to contact
Unique Laser Clinics, 327 Deane Road, Bolton, BL3 5HN is the clinic responsible for the information you provide through this website. For privacy questions, requests or concerns, email hello@uniquelaserclinics.co.uk or call 07301 166333.
Information collected through the website
- Appointment requests: your name, email address, telephone number, chosen service and appointment time.
- Optional health information: relevant medical conditions, medications and whether you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you choose to provide these in the booking form. You may leave these fields blank and discuss relevant information directly with the clinic before treatment.
- Preferences and consent: your booking consent, its wording version and date, and any separate choice to receive marketing.
- Enquiries: information you choose to share by telephone or email.
- Security and administration: technical information needed to protect the website, such as IP-based rate limits, account sign-in information and records of authorised staff access to booking information. Hosting systems may also record request and error logs.
Please do not send payment-card details or unnecessary medical information through general email or social media.
Why information is used
Contact and appointment details are used to answer enquiries, arrange and manage appointments and communicate about your request. These activities support the steps you ask us to take before providing a service and the delivery of that service. Website security and access controls support the legitimate interests of protecting client information and preventing misuse.
Health details submitted through the website are used with your explicit consent to help assess suitability and prepare for your consultation. An online request does not replace a practitioner assessment or consent to treatment. You can withdraw consent for future use by contacting the clinic; this does not undo processing already carried out lawfully. If information is needed to assess suitability safely, withdrawal may affect whether a treatment can proceed.
Marketing choices
The optional marketing checkbox is separate from booking consent and is not selected in advance. You do not have to agree to marketing to request an appointment. To withdraw marketing consent, contact the clinic using the details above or use an unsubscribe option where one is provided. Appointment communications are separate from promotional messages.
Who can access information
Authorised clinic staff use booking information for their work. The booking system applies role-based permissions to administrative and practitioner access and records access to intake information. Website hosting, maintenance and email services may process information as part of providing those services. Information may also need to be shared where required by law or to deal with a legal claim.
For details of the clinic’s current service providers, processing locations and any arrangements for transfers outside the UK, contact the clinic. External websites, including social networks and Google Maps, have their own privacy practices.
How long information is kept
Retention depends on the reason the information was collected, whether an enquiry or treatment relationship is ongoing, and applicable record-keeping and legal obligations. The website booking system does not currently automatically delete client and appointment records after a fixed period. Contact the clinic to ask about retention for your records or request deletion. Deletion may be limited where records must still be kept for a lawful reason.
Your rights and complaints
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or a portable copy, and object to certain uses. You can withdraw consent where processing relies on it and object to direct marketing at any time.
Contact the clinic to exercise these rights. We may need information to verify your identity before releasing or changing records. You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Cookies and external services
The redesigned public pages do not add advertising or analytics cookies. Browsing treatments and submitting the public booking form do not require a marketing-cookie choice.
| Technology | Purpose and duration | Your control |
|---|---|---|
WordPress authentication cookies, such as wordpress_test_cookie, wordpress_logged_in_* and wordpress_sec_* | Check cookie support and maintain an authenticated account session. These apply when signing in. Session cookies normally last until the browser session ends; a requested “remember me” session may persist for up to 14 days under WordPress defaults. | Sign out when finished. Browser settings let you inspect and remove cookies. Blocking authentication cookies can prevent account access. |
WordPress account preferences, such as wp-settings-* and wp-settings-time-* | Remember account-interface preferences for signed-in users, ordinarily for up to one year. | Manage these using your browser’s cookie controls. |
| Optional Google Maps embed | The map is blocked until you select “Load Google Map”. Loading it connects your browser to Google, which receives technical information such as your IP address and may use cookies or similar technologies under its own policies. | Leave the map unloaded, use the written address, or select “Unload map”. Your choice is not saved between page visits. Unloading stops the embed; it cannot erase data already sent or third-party cookies already set. |
Read Google’s privacy policy and cookie information. Social links open the relevant external service only when followed; no embedded social feed is required to browse this site.
If additional tracking or external services are introduced, this notice and any necessary visitor choices must be updated before they are enabled.
