What thread veins can laser treat?

Our vascular laser treats facial thread veins, broken capillaries on the cheeks and nose, cherry angiomas, spider naevi, rosacea-related redness and small leg thread veins up to 3mm in diameter. Larger varicose veins require medical treatment and are not suitable for laser.

Does thread vein laser hurt?

Most clients describe thread vein laser as a brief hot pinprick on each vein, uncomfortable for a second but never unbearable. Sessions typically last 10 to 20 minutes. Ice or cold air is used to soothe the area during treatment.

How fast will I see results?

Small facial veins often disappear immediately after a single session or fade over the following 1 to 4 weeks. Larger or deeper veins may need two or three sessions spaced four to six weeks apart. Results are permanent, although new veins can develop over time with sun damage or ageing.

Who is not suitable for thread vein laser?

Thread Vein Questions

Will the thread veins come back?

Treated veins do not grow back, but new veins can appear over time due to sun damage, hormonal changes, pregnancy or ageing. Annual maintenance sessions, daily SPF and avoiding extreme heat protect your results long-term.

Is thread vein laser safe during pregnancy?

No, we do not treat thread veins during pregnancy or while breastfeeding because hormonal changes can affect vein behaviour. We recommend waiting until three months after you finish breastfeeding.

Can laser treat rosacea redness?

Laser is highly effective at reducing rosacea-related redness and diffuse flushing by targeting the small visible blood vessels that cause it. Most clients see a 50 to 80 per cent reduction in redness after a course of three sessions.
