What It Is

Calmer, Clearer Skin Without Pills

Laser acne treatment targets two of the root causes of acne at once — the bacteria that live inside the pore (P. acnes) and the overactive sebaceous glands that produce excess oil. Over four to six sessions you’ll see fewer breakouts, less redness and improved texture.

How does laser treat acne?

Laser acne treatment uses specific wavelengths to kill the P. acnes bacteria inside the pore and shrink the sebaceous glands that produce excess oil. Combined, these two effects reduce active breakouts, calm inflammation and gradually improve skin texture over four to six sessions.

Who is laser acne treatment for?

Laser acne treatment is ideal for adults (typically 16+) with mild to moderate inflammatory acne who want an alternative or companion to topical creams and antibiotics. It is particularly helpful for clients who have tried prescription treatments and want to avoid long-term medication use.

Can laser help with acne scarring?

Yes — once active acne is calm, we often follow up with laser skin rejuvenation to address acne scarring, pitting and post-inflammatory pigmentation. This two-step approach works better than trying to treat active acne and scars at the same time.

Does laser acne treatment hurt?

Sessions are comfortable. Most clients describe it as a warm tingling sensation. No numbing cream needed. Full-face sessions take 20 to 30 minutes and you can return to normal activities immediately.

FAQs

Laser Acne Questions

Will my acne come back after laser?

Most clients see a long-term reduction in the severity and frequency of breakouts. Hormonal changes, stress and skincare habits can trigger new breakouts, and we often recommend a light maintenance session every three to six months alongside a suitable skincare routine.

Can I have laser acne treatment if I’m on Roaccutane?

No. We cannot treat clients currently on oral isotretinoin (Roaccutane) or within six months of finishing a course, because the medication affects how skin heals. We’ll happily create a plan to begin once you’re clear of the medication.

Is laser better than antibiotics for acne?

Laser and antibiotics work differently. Antibiotics reduce bacteria systemically; laser targets bacteria and oil glands locally without antibiotic resistance risk. For mild to moderate acne, laser is often preferred as a first-line or combination treatment. Severe nodular acne may still need medical input.
